On Loss gathers experiences of miscarriage, pregnancy loss, infertility, failed attempts to conceive, medical intervention, uncertainty, and the quieter losses that accompany changing expectations about our bodies and our families.
For queer families, reproductive grief can be compounded by systems and language that do not fully recognize their relationships or experiences. Loss may be deeply felt while remaining difficult to name publicly.
Rather than resolving grief or turning it toward a narrative of recovery, On Loss creates space to remain with it. The collection considers how people remember, ritualize, carry, and sometimes transform loss—and how listening itself can become a form of witnessing.
